Karoyl (Badker) Cooper |
My favorite teachers will always be Mr. Laufenberg & Mr. Fredrick (English & History) |
Favorite memory would be Bill Dunham (Freshman yr.) asking that first-time-teaching lady -- forgotten her name, (had her I think for an English class or something) what that pin on rt breast (he did not use that word, I believe "tit" was more like it) was for. (It was a fraternity pin & she had just gotten it the nite before from her college boyfriend). Too, too funny! |

Freddie, Smoczyk, and Harry |
Who would have thought that having fun with math and science in high school could lead to a career of having fun with computers. I remember the friendly competition and classmate challenges, especially with Ken, Genell, Sharon P, and Eileen. |
Judy Evenson |
Jann Peterson - the last of the male girls' phy ed teachers. He also had the opportunity to teach a farm girl armed with tractor driving skills to drive the school station wagon. |
Home Ec Class antics when Miss Oldenburg daily left us in charge of our own behavior - BIG MISTAKE. |
Genell (Gehres) Johnson |
Tilly, Laufenberg, & Jan Peterson - Drivers Ed -- what a patient man!! |

Honestly, I can't say I had a favorite...basically, I think I liked them all...maybe I need to refresh my memory! |
I have many memories of good friends and times...memories of pep rallies, taking the bus to games, "refueling" at the Star Cafe after games, checking our grades on the bulletin board near the principal's office each quarter to see who made honor roll, intramural sports, forensics ("The King and I" with Bill Bundy), plays, making year book decisions...to name just a few. |

Mr Tilly and Mr Fredrick |
The fun we had doing plays. Especially with Steve and Bill. The choir trips were fun with Kenny and Bill doing the Kennedy thing. I think we just had fun all the time. |

These are the memories most vivid: 1. Pep band on the sidelines of the football field with the trumpet mouthpiece frozen to my lips trying to hit high C in "Jr. Joins the Band," 2. Ruining a contest piece for the other trumpeters by absolutely "freezing" when it came time to perform (and it had nothing to do with the temperature). 3. Everyone getting a silver dollar from the band director. (Sure wish I could remember his name, but I'm having a senior moment.) From this memory list I would have to judge that band was definitely my favorite subject. |
Patricia Nelson-Komro |
Mrs Brechlin and Mr Fredric |
Too numerous to mention |
Sharon (Pederson) Lehtinen |
Mr. Laufenberg, Mr. Frederick, Mr. Peterson, Mrs. Fern, Mrs. Brechling, Mr. Henke, Mr. Bong--weren't they the best? |
I can't believe we wore those maroon gym suits....cutting down pine trees for homecoming decorations...Mrs. Wallace's little shoes clicking in the library...drinking koolaid instead of sloe gin...parking in those big hoop skirts after the prom...cracking up in class with Spec Andrews..."when other nights and other days, have found us gone our separate ways...we will have these moments to remember..." |

One person I've really wanted to see again is Betty "Strasburg". Our High School memories are many, but I've not seen her since. |
Mike Smith (deceased) |

Parking and sports. |
Tom Tompkins |
You know I can only remember a couple of them. But I didn't really have a favorite. |
I had fun in school but, you should remember me I couldn't wait to get out. Oh well, like the saying goes only to do it all over again. |
Mary (Vold) Gunderson |
Eldora Brechlin....probably because I had her for practically all my classes. Linda Oldenberg passed away this past summer, hopefully none of our antics contributed to her health. |
My memory is pretty much gone some days....but what I do remember was always fun. |
